Taxes and Government Spending
I personally believe in limited government. To me, limited government involves keeping taxes low and empowering the people of Missouri to spend their money as they wish in a free-market economy. Taxation should be used for infrastructure first and as a last priority to tackle unique problems in our state.
As State Representative, I will fight to run our state as each of us is required to run our households – within our means. We must maintain a balanced budget for Missouri.
Improving Education
As an educator, I believe that Missouri’s public schools can be much better. We need to work on recruiting quality teachers and creating an environment state-wide that will lead to retention.
We must also continue Governor Blunt’s lead by making education, from early childhood through post-secondary, one of the leading priorities of our state.
Traditional Values
Like most Missourians, I support traditional values. I believe that innocent human lives should be protected at all stages and that adoption should be presented as the chief alternative to abortion. I also oppose human cloning.
It is another of my beliefs that marriage was intended to be between a man and a woman. This form of traditional marriage has served as a foundation of our society.
Economic Development
For Missouri to succeed economically, large business, small business, agriculture, and tourism must work together. As State Representative, I will work toward making Missouri’s government friendly toward each of these industries and available to assist in their growth and development.
Illegal Immigration
It is my belief that legal immigration is beneficial for our country. Illegal immigration, however, is costly to Missouri taxpayers and a threat to our national security.
2nd Amendment Rights
I believe that the 2nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution guarantees citizens the right to own firearms for both protection and leisure purposes.
